The annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks held at the shared campus of The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College and fully funded by the Reese Family Foundation.
The Newark-Granville Symphony performance begins at 8:00pm. The fireworks display begins at dusk.
Join the NGSO with amazing new artists Black Violin - Wil Baptiste (viola) and Kev Marcus (violin). These brilliant musicians will bring to The Midland Theatre music like you have never heard before. Black Violin has performed with artists such as Alicia Keys, Tom Petty, Aerosmith, and many more. They bridge the musical gap between classical music and hip-hop. This will be a memorable concert for all music lovers and a performance like none other.
We are thrilled to have NGSO patron and Board Member, Jeanetta Pyle offering a $25,000 matching gift to the NGSO. That means every dollar you give becomes two. A donation of $150 becomes $300! And this challenge begins today.
Why Should You Give?
Our community is proud of the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra. But a professional symphony orchestra cannot survive on warm wishes alone - it takes a meaningful investment on the part of our community to enable the quality of orchestral performances and educational programs that we have come to expect from the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra. Ticket sales cover only a small percentage of the real costs of maintaining the orchestra. Therefore, we rely on contributions from corporations, foundations and individuals - like you, to make up the balance.
Your support keeps the NGSO alive, including programs such as Music in the Schools, the NGSO Youth Symphony and Chamber Strings, and The Overture Project.
Please take advantage of this amazing opportunity and know your gift is 100% tax deductable. We look forward to hearing from you.
